On Saturday night, the Solway Sharks welcomed the Swindon Wildcats to the Shark Tank, with Calum Hepburn starting in net and Curtis Warburton on the bench for the Sharks.

The Sharks open the scoring but Wildcats strike back!!

Mason Alderson’s goal at the Shark Tank gave the Sharks the lead after both sides came out firing and creating opportunities early in the first period.

The Wildcats were quick to get on the scoreboard with Sam Bullas getting the equalising goal. They then took the lead with Tomasz Malasinski getting goal number two before Russell Cowley got the third goal for the wildcats.

Within the opening minute of the second period, Mason Alderson was enjoying both his and Shark’s second goals of the contest. Colby Tower of the Wildcats scored the game’s fourth goal, while Tomasz Malasinski scored their fifth goal.

The Sharks scored their third goal of the game, which was scored by Lewis Young. Gael Lubwele scored goal number six for the Wildcats as the second period came to a close.

Sharks take it to overtime but it’s Wildcats who take all two points!!

John Dunbar scored the Sharks’ fourth goal as the period began. The Sharks made it a one-goal contest with goal number five, Lewis Young’s second of the evening.

The Sharks then equalised with their sixth goal, which was scored by Nolan Gardiner. Aaron Nell’s seventh goal of the game gave the Wildcats the advantage once again.

The Sharks scored their seventh goal, a hat trick goal for Lewis Young, as the game went into overtime in the Shark Tank.

Both teams had chances, but with overtime nearly done, Tomasz Malasinski’s hat trick goal gave the Wildcats the victory and their eighth goal to take two points in a 15 goal thriller!!
