Both teams put their respective netminders to the test in a fast-paced and energetic opening period. Calum Hepburn was starting netminder for the Sharks this evening.

After the puck was almost moved out of the defensive zone, Bissonnette caught it, played it low, and was bundled in by Spurr for the Steeldogs’ first goal of the game, giving them a 1-0 lead (18.01).

The Sharks appeared to be powerful on the puck, creating chances and having a lot of puck control. Henderson, Dunbar, and Peacock all had chances, but none were successful.
