Kian Shevlin Re-Signing

​The Dynamic Property Services Solway Sharks are pleased to announce the re-signing of defenceman Kian Shevlin on a two-way contract with the Glasgow Clan.

Shevlin split time last season between the Sharks U19’s team and the Edinburgh Capitals while making 24 appearances for the Solway Sharks in the NIHL. The 18-year-old defencemen played a big part in helping the Edinburgh Capitals secure their playoff championship. He also was a key contributor to the success of the Sharks U19’s team winning the Scottish cup.

General Manager, Craig Peacock had this to say regarding the re-signing of Shevlin:

Kian is a player we were very keen on bringing back after watching him progress over the course of last season. He is a big, strong defenceman with a versatile toolbox. Last season was an important year for Shevy as he gained valuable experience at the senior level. We are excited to see Shevy take that next step and are looking forward to seeing him have a positive impact on our team this season.”

The 6’6 defencemen possess a heavy shot and a powerful skating ability. His physicality combined with his high skill level make him a constant threat. Shevy gained valuable playing time with the Sharks last season where be began to grow his confidence at the National League level. Kian is a player with a lot of potential, and we are very excited to have him back at the Shark Tank for the upcoming season.
