Lewis Young

The Solway Sharks are very pleased to announce the re-signing of forward Lewis Young for the 24/25 season.

Lewis played an impactful role for the Sharks in their jump up to the National League level last season. The 21-year-old forward was a versatile player last season as he was able to play up and down the line up in various situations. As the season progressed, Lewis really found his stride and confidence as his offensive skillset was put on display on several occasions.

Lewis Young had this to say regarding his re-signing with the Sharks:

I’m really looking forward to getting going this year with the exciting plans that are in place for the team. Dumfries is a place I’ve fell in love with and now see as my second home so there really isn’t anywhere else I would want to play. I can’t wait to get going again and bring some silverware back to the Shark Tank.

Youngs’ high offensive skill combined with his willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team win makes him a great asset to the club. We are all very happy to see Lewis back at the Shark Tank and look forward to seeing what he brings to the table for the 24/25 season.

General Manager, Craig Peacock had this to say about Lewis:

Younger is a player we see a lot of potential in. He really progressed throughout last season and showed what he is capable of. With a full season at the National League level under his belt, we are really looking forward to see what he can achieve for us next season.”
