The Solway Sharks are very proud to announce the re-signing of netminder Calum Hepburn for the 24/25 season.
The Dumfries born netminder played a vital role in the Sharks success in their first season at the National League level. Hepburn was leaned on heavily last season, starting in 34 games. Calum is a familiar face as he has been a part of the Sharks organisation since 2015 and has backstopped the club to several championship winning seasons over the years.
Calum Hepburn had this to say regarding his re-signing with the club,
I’m delighted to be back with the Sharks this season! The team that Spud is building is one that I’m very excited to be part of. After last year, I think we have a lot left to show after a disappointing end. Can’t wait to get started, get all the boys back together and make a statement with our preseason opener against the Clan. Let’s get the tank filled and make it the toughest place to play in the league! Can’t wait to see everyone in August!”
Hepburn has established himself as a fan favourite over the years and we are very pleased to have him back for next season. We are all looking forward to having “The Wall” back in the Shark Tank and seeing his contributions in the 24/25 season.
Head Coach, Martin Grubb had this to about Hepburn and his re-signing,
We are excited to have Calum back for next season. He has been a huge part of our team over the past few years and he had some big performances last year that he will be looking to improve on. Calum knows the league and standard expected now and we will get a better version of him this season and he and Jordan will give us a very strong goalie tandem.”
