Calum Hepburn Re-signing

The Solway Sharks IHC are proud to announce the re-signing of goaltender Calum Hepburn for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

A familiar and respected presence in the Shark Tank, Hepburn has been part of the Sharks organisation since the 2015/16 season, playing a key role in multiple NIHL 1 championship campaigns. The 6’3” Dumfries native is known for his relentless compete level, selfless attitude, and unwavering commitment to the team.

In the 2024/25 season, Hepburn appeared in six games, recording a .884 save percentage and a .500 win rate. While his starts were limited, his influence on and off the ice remained significant. Calum is admired throughout the locker room for his positive energy, leadership, and deep-rooted passion for the club.

Hepburn had this to say:

Really happy to be back with the sharks for another year.

The team that spud and the management team are putting together is something I think will bring success back to the club and more importantly some silverware to celebrate.

I’d highly recommend keeping an eye on our socials to see what they have up there sleeves.
Can’t wait to get back into the tank !”

As the Sharks continue to build for a competitive 2025/26 campaign, Hepburn’s return provides both valuable experience and a strong presence in the crease.

Head Coach Martin Grubb had this to say:

Calum is a player we wanted back as he is a team first guy who knows what it takes to win, and he created a positive partnership with Jordan last season. I know he was disappointed to not play as much as he wanted last year and that’s the attitude we want, and we know we have two goalies capable of pushing each other to be better and either one can play and help us win on any given night. It was a no brainer to bring Calum back and I look forward to seeing his continued development at this level.”
